Oxford ELLT Entry Requirements
The Oxford ELLT is an online English proficiency test accepted by many UK and international universities as an alternative to IELTS, PTE, or TOEFL. It assesses Reading, Listening, Writing, and Speaking skills.
1. Oxford ELLT Overall Entry Requirements
Typical Requirements:
- B1 Level: Oxford ELLT score of 6-7 overall (equivalent to IELTS 5.5-6.0)
- B2 Level: Oxford ELLT score of 8-9 overall (equivalent to IELTS 6.5-7.0)
University-Specific Requirements:
- Some universities: Require Oxford ELLT scores of 6-7 overall for undergraduate programs and 7-8 overall for postgraduate programs
- Top universities: May require higher scores, such as 8-9 overall
2. Postgraduate Programs
Typical requirement: ELLT Level C1
- Equivalent to IELTS 6.5 – 7.0 overall
- No component below B2+ (IELTS 6.0 equivalent)
3.University-Specific Requirements
- Some universities: Require Oxford ELLT scores of 6-7 overall for undergraduate programs and 7-8 overall for postgraduate programs
- Top universities: May require higher scores, such as 8-9 overall
4. Pre-Sessional / Foundation / Diploma Programs
- Accepted from ELLT Level B1 – B2
- Equivalent to IELTS 4.5 – 5.5 overall

Oxford ELLT results are valid for 2 years, similar to IELTS and PTE.
